2006/07 Open Competition Overall Results

Day 1 - 2nd Jan

Task 1 - (42km) Task from TC to Rasberry Flat Via 4 turnpoints, 16 people in goal. Anders leads.

Day 2 - 3rd Jan

Task 2 - (67km) Task from TC to Black Peak, over past Wanaka to Timaru Creek and back to Hawea Flat. No body made Goal. Grant Middendorf won the day with 36km on course. Some boat retreives required for those who crossed the lake to Stevensons Peninsula. 

Day 3 - 4th Jan

Task 3 - (35km) Up the valley again towards Rasberry Flat. 10 Pilots in goal. Abe won the day racing anders into the ground.  

Day 4 - 5th Jan

Day Cancelled. strong winds forcast.

Day 5 - 6th Jan

Day Cancelled. rain and strong winds

Day 6 - 7th Jan

Task4 - (51km) Race to town via Black Peak, Hill End and Coromandal Anders wins day 800m short of goal and takes out the comp by 11 points.

2006/07 Fun Competition Overall Results

Day 1 - 27th Dec

Day cancelled after heavy cloud and rain pushed in from the west after a promising looking morning.

Day 2 - 28th Dec

Day Cancelled due to strong cross and downslope winds at Pub Corner.

Day 3 - 29th Dec

Front pushing through making flying task not possible. A number of "ground handling" fun tasks undertaken in Pembroke Park. 

Points were awared for a race and last man standing competitions.

Day 4 - 30th Dec

Task was set at Coronet Peak with 22 people acheiving the task in improving conditions. Local knowledge seemed to rule the day with Craig Taylor and Jan Chmelan winning the day. 

Day 5 - 31st Dec

Great day at TC that started in the snow and ended in the sun. Task was set up the valley towards Mount Aspiring NP with 2 pilots reaching goal.
